Dr. Simon Smith

Simon has been practicing BJJ for almost 10 years and is a dedicated Brown Belt under Taff. Simon began BJJ as a Clearance Diver in the Royal Australian Navy, where he served for ten years.

Simon is also a former NSW Golden Gloves Boxer and played high level Rugby League in NSW and also represented WA.

Simon has competed successfully at both state and national levels in BJJ.

Simons interest has been in coaching kids and adults and the progression of BJJ in Rockingham. Simon has also assisted in adapting BJJ to other
areas such as AFL and the military and continues to coach the Arena team with compassion and commitment.

Simons other interests include all areas of fitness especially Olympic weight lifting, swimming and kayaking.

He is also performs his role as the team medical doctor.
